First Floor is a genuine place to work and live: a large wooden room, an analogue control room and a team that takes the time to listen to your project.
The place
First Floor was built inside a barn in Gampelen, between the cantons of Neuchâtel and Bern. The wood, beams and volume are all part of the sound of the place.
It is a space for recording a band, shaping a voice, setting up an ensemble or simply taking the time to explore. The team stays close, available and attentive.

Services
Time, attention and a way of working shaped around the project rather than a fixed formula.
Bands, voices, ensembles, audiobooks and live takes in the large room or in more intimate spaces.
Developing structure, arrangements and sounds with the artist while preserving what makes the project distinctive.
A hybrid signal chain and a control room designed for clear, musical and confident decisions.
The barn can also host a writing period, a rehearsal, an intimate concert or a masterclass.

Equipment
The collection has grown over years of sessions. Every piece has its place: microphones, dynamics, reverbs, instruments and conversion.
